About CheckIQScore

We build free, honestly difficult cognitive tests, grounded in real statistical methodology, with no account required and no paywalled results.

Why We Exist

Most “IQ test” links online are built to be shared, not to measure anything. Ten easy questions, a flattering score, and nothing you can actually learn from. We built CheckIQScore because we wanted the opposite: a real difficulty curve, transparent scoring, and a full result shown instantly, free, to everyone who takes it.

That same standard runs through everything on this site, from the 36-question core test to every brain game and article: real methodology over flashy claims, sources checked rather than repeated, and no result dressed up to look more precise than it is.

What We Build

The core IQ test on our homepage uses a weighted, difficulty-tiered scoring model converted onto the standard mean-100, SD-15 scale used across most published cognitive assessments. Alongside it, our brain games suite measures specific cognitive skills individually: reaction time, memory span, processing speed, and pattern recognition, each isolated rather than bundled into one vague score.

Our blog covers the research behind intelligence testing itself: what the evidence actually says about sleep, genetics, lifestyle factors, and cognitive performance, sourced and checked rather than repeated from other listicles.

Our Standards

Every statistic we cite is checked against its original source before publishing. We do not fabricate claims about specific individuals’ IQ scores, a common and well-documented problem across other sites in this space. Where data is an estimate or a population average, we say so plainly.

Full detail on how our scoring works lives on the methodology page. Questions or feedback can reach us through the contact page.
